This thread is made for you to admire the epic awesomeness that is Captain Falcon, and to give you some basic tips for using him.......in Brawl that is.
Captain Falcon is one of the worst characters in the game, because he doesn't want noobs playing him.
He never has a great advantage over an opponent, and he mainly has terrible approach and priority.
How does he make up for this you ask? Sheer manliness, that's how.
Specials:
The Falcon Punch is one of the strongest attacks in the game, although it's slow, manly start-up requires it to mainly be used for mind games or The Sacred Combo.
His Raptor Boost(forward special) makes him charge at the enemy and uppercut them in the air when grounded and hammers the enemy down while in the air, while in the meantime Falcon also sets his opponent ablaze causing severe burns and traumatic experiences from manliness. It can be used against edgehoggers from time to time, although it's priority is quite low.
The Falcon Kick covers more ground and is faster than Ganondorf's Wizard's Foot, but deals less damage and once again doesn't have much priority. If Falcon is airbourne, the Falcon Kick shoots him down to come crashing into his opponent like a meteor of manliness.
The Falcon Dive is so manly that the name completely contradicts the move, instead of diving Falcon actually shoots upwards into the sky and if he makes contact with his advesary an atomic explosion occurs. The atomic explosion is too fast for the human eye, although fragments of the explosion are still visible because the power of the move is too much to supress and the opponent is sent flying. It can stagespike some edgehoggers, but in general isn't too good as it has a slow start-up and is therefore quite predictable and Falcon's high falling speed doesn't work in his favour either.
Spikes:
Falcon has two spikes, his Raptor Boost(forward special) and his Dair(downward air).
The Raptor Boost works alright for mindgames and edgehoggers, but has low priority and can be predicted easily so it should be used as a spike with caution. A caution for manliness, of course.
Falcon's Dair has gotten quite the nerfing as it has lost the ability to Nipple Spike, although when hit correctly(bootsxface) it shoots the opponent down so fast that they went crying to their mom before heading back to the battlefield with Capt. Falcon.
Other attacks:
Falcon's smashes are quite bad on terms of priority, with his up-smash being the best of the bunch with mediocre priority. It can be used to catch an opponent by surprise while dashing, and deals nice damage and knockback.
His forward-smash and down-smash have terrible priority and are really slow, so it should be advised not to use them. Remember though, these moves are only so bad because Falcon likes a challenge and give others a chance at winning(even though they've already lost when seeing him).
On the flipside Falcon has a decent aerial-game to his disposal, his uair has decent range and good priority and can KO at high percentages.
His nair does alright damage and has decent priority as well, it's also handy for combos and what not.
His bair has decent knockback and priority, in reality it KO's the opponent five times but that epicness is too much for the Wii's hardware to handle and is therefore not shown to the human eye.
His dair as mentioned before spikes, although no Nipple Spike anymore(*sadface*), and is quite powerful. DK tries to imitate this move with dair, but fails because for every time that DK tries a Korean baby gets Falcon Punched. Captain Falcon takes copyright infringement seriously.
His fair, aka The Knee of Justice, is the manliest thing in history next to the Falcon Punch. It's sweetspot is very small, so that scrubs can't take advantage of it and won't discover it's greatness. It does good damage and has high knockback power(when sweetspotted) making it a great finisher, it's also the first half of The Sacred Combo. When sourspotted, it does terrible damage and has terrible knockback and priority. Legend has it that a meteor was once heading to Earth, but then Captain Falcon came and kneed it so hard that it was stuck in space and time. This meteor is now known as the moon.
Falcon has your regular throws, his up and down throw however can combo in his nair, uair or fair and will mentally break down the opponent to the point where their soul leaves their body and a new one takes over. Captain Falcon's record of making souls leave their respective bodies is infinity.
